Innovative Research for the Food Sector - Discussion Meeting

The international roundtable aims at raising awareness on the Research and Innovation duality in next Common Strategic Framework and European funding opportunities. With the participation of the main stakeholders of the food system in Europe, the event will be a place for an open debate between the public and the invited speakers. It will be an excellent opportunity for scientists, SMEs and large industry, as well as program owners to discuss on the future European Food Research.
The major outcome of the event will be transferred to the European Commission, with a view to contributing to a potential roadmap to approach the Common Strategic Framework.

Multivariate Statistics in Sensory Analysis and Consumer Science - International Summer School

 cid:image001.jpg@01CC2446.22557BC0We're pleased to inform you about the launch of International Summer School "Multivariate Statistics in Sensory Analysis and Consumer Science” that will be organized at the University Residential Centre of Bertinoro on July 13-15, 2011. Instructors are Prof. Tormod Naes and Professors from UNIBO (University of Bologna) and from CIAS (Centro Italiano di Analisi Sensoriale).
The deadline for application is June 15, 2011.

The summer school is aimed at learning the fundamentals and the recent advances of multivariated statistics to sensory analysis and consumer science. It will provide the appropriate techniques to analise sensory data sets and consumer preference data sets. It will also provide the appropriate knowledge of the models used in the literature about sensory data analysis. Results interpretation will be discussed and exercises on appropriate softwares will be included (single computer on site). Two ECTS credits are granted by the Faculty of Agriculture  - University of Bologna, conditional to successful final evaluation. Program detailed information.
